Leaping into WBT...Can you help?

Well, I am finally going to take the leap into Whole Brain Teaching.  I plan to spend time this summer researching and learning as much as possible so that I am ready to implement it in August.  I would love to hear from anyone who uses WBT.  What do you like best about it?  What works?  What doesn't work?  Any advice for a newbie?

Any and all comments will be gratefully read and pondered upon (LOL).

  1. Start simple! You can't implement it all in one day. It's a building process. I would introduce the rules first. Then maybe "hands and eyes." It's really great stuff. There are also lots of videos on youtube that you can watch that will help. Hope that helps!

    1. You are so right. I do need to start simple. I have such a bad habit of getting excited about something new and jumping in with both feet rather than thinking it out first. I've been watching some of the videos (thank goodness for Youtube!) Thanks for your advice. :)

  2. There are lots of great links on the Whole Brain Teaching website. Be sure to check them out! I've been doing several of the techniques for the last couple of years. I'd love to do more, if my district would let me!

  3. There is a really good support system on the forum. When I was getting started in my education degree I tried out whole brain teaching and found it really helpful. The other teachers on the forum were so helpful to me and made it a lot easier.

I also have a lot of WBT posts available on my blog. While I don't specifically blog about it as much anymore all my WBT posts can be found in the WBT Certification tab if you want to check it out :)

    Good luck with everything
